​Significant impacts are anticipated from the results of the project on the farmed animal production sector in Europe and the research community at large. Both the type of information disseminated and the dissemination channel will vary according to the needs and interests of the stakeholders. 

​SHORT TO MEDIUM TERM IMPACT

• Deliver comprehensive genome annotation maps of high quality in the targeted farmed animal species/tissues
• Pave the way for subsequent use of annotated genomes to improve precision breeding in farmed animal production, by linking genome to phenotype and improving means to measure/record phenotypes
• Progress in understanding genotype per environment interactions and deciphering the mechanisms by which some effects induced by environment/stressors can be transmitted across generations
• Contribute to international cooperation on genome annotation​

LONG TERM IMPACT

In the long term activities will enhance the sustainability of farmed animal production.

• Online lectures, an interactive webinar and training on how to use the tools will ensure assimilation of project’s outcomes for their future development and adoption into breeding practices.
• Newsletters, press releases and video materials will be adapted to targeted stakeholders.
• Dissemination events and video support targeting the general public and the policy makers will be prepared to enhance the understanding of the value of genetic information and increase social acceptance of breeding strategies that utilise production efficiency related traits and genomic tools toward balanced breeding goals. ​
